Our Stack
Web Technologies
Every project is built using proven, modern technologies — chosen for performance, security, and longevity rather than trend.
Vue.js
Vue.js is an open-source Model–view–viewmodel JavaScript framework for building user interfaces and single-page applications. It allows us to build fast single page applications, web sites, and bespoke content management systems with a clean, reactive architecture.
Nuxt
Nuxt is the full-stack Vue framework we use to build server-rendered and statically generated web applications. It provides file-based routing, automatic code splitting, SEO optimisation, and seamless deployment to edge platforms like Cloudflare Pages.
TypeScript
TypeScript is a strongly-typed superset of JavaScript that catches errors at compile time rather than runtime. We use TypeScript across our front-end and back-end codebases to improve code reliability, developer experience, and long-term maintainability.
Laravel
Laravel is an open-source PHP web framework following the model–view–controller pattern. It handles server-side functions including database interaction, PDF generation, API development, queue processing, and user authentication.
Vite
Vite is a next-generation front-end build tool that delivers near-instant hot module replacement during development and highly optimised production builds. It replaces older bundlers like Webpack with a significantly faster, leaner development experience.
Nginx
Nginx is an open source web server that supports over 400 million web sites. It is very fast, lightweight, and secure — roughly 2.5 times faster than Apache. This means your web app or site runs super fast.

HTML and SCSS
Every site we build is written in HTML5 and SCSS to ensure compatibility and responsive designs across all modern desktop and mobile browsers. SCSS is a CSS preprocessor that compiles to clean, efficient CSS.
MariaDB
MariaDB is our primary relational database engine — a high-performance, open-source drop-in replacement for MySQL developed by the original MySQL team. It holds all your application data securely and efficiently, with excellent support for complex queries and high-concurrency workloads.
PHP
PHP is a widely-used open source scripting language especially suited for web development. Your application's core functions and processes are written in PHP — Sea Dragon Web Design have over 15 years of PHP development experience.
Cloudflare
We deploy to and leverage Cloudflare across our client infrastructure — using Cloudflare Pages for edge-hosted front-ends, Cloudflare DNS for fast and resilient domain management, and Cloudflare WAF and DDoS protection to keep sites fast and secure worldwide.
Amazon Web Services
AWS powers our backend cloud infrastructure, including EC2 for scalable compute, S3 for object storage, RDS for managed databases, and SES for transactional email. We design AWS architectures that scale with your business while keeping costs predictable.
JavaScript
JavaScript is the language of the web — and we write it by hand, not through page builders. From interactive UI components to complex front-end logic, our JavaScript is clean, modern, and written to ES6+ standards for maximum performance and maintainability.
MySQL
MySQL is one of the world's most widely-used relational database systems, trusted by major platforms including Facebook, Twitter, and Netflix. We use MySQL for projects requiring a robust, battle-tested database with broad hosting compatibility.
Apache
Apache HTTP Server is a proven, enterprise-grade web server powering a large portion of the internet. We deploy Apache for legacy-compatible environments and projects that benefit from its rich module ecosystem and mature configuration options.
Node.js
Node.js is a JavaScript runtime built on Chrome's V8 engine, enabling server-side JavaScript execution. We use Node.js for build tooling, API services, and real-time applications — it forms the backbone of our modern front-end development workflow.

JSON
JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) is the universal data interchange format we use across all our APIs and configuration systems. Lightweight, human-readable, and natively supported in every modern language, it underpins the communication layer of every application we build.
Why Not WordPress?
We don't build WordPress sites. WordPress is one of the most frequently hacked CMS platforms available, with near-daily security vulnerabilities published publicly. Its reliance on third-party plugins creates an unpredictable surface area for attack — a single outdated plugin can compromise your entire site. Our bespoke approach means no unnecessary dependencies, no bloated page builders, and no inherited security debt. You get a faster, more secure, purpose-built solution that we fully understand and control from top to bottom.
